Tamarisk furniture is the definition of excellence, produced to the highest standards in the UK.
Because we control the manufacturing process of our products, we can guarantee the quality of all our furniture. Every sofa is hand crafted by talented frame makers, upholsterers and tradesmen to ensure it meets the Tamarisk standard.
Our sofas are treated with care and attention from design through to delivery, with quality checks conducted throughout the process.
You can read about the different elements that come together to achieve the Tamarisk standard below.
Our Process
Built to last…
At Tamarisk, we work hard to ensure the shape of the sofa is visually appealing. We do not compromise the shape. Our frames are built to last and are made from solid hardwood, with all joints screwed glued and dowelled.
Pre-Building…
It’s what you don’t see that makes the difference. We use high quality foam blocks and insulator on top of serpentine springs to provide a soft and comfortable seat area, that even distributes weight and does not compromise on design.
Upholstery and Details…
The upholstery at Tamarisk is still completed by human hand. We find that the quality of each sofa exceeds expectations by doing this process. Tamarisk offers the use of (COM) Customers own material on every sofa for greater customisation options.
Cushions…
We use a variety of different cushion fillings. The one consistent element is that all our seat cushions have a high-density foam element, this aids recovery and improves longevity. The cushion filling varies by model and is described in the price list for each model.
Fabrics…
All fabrics in the Tamarisk range are selected using the same criteria – desire and suitability. We spend a lot of time searching for new and innovative fabrics and invariably rely on the long-standing relationships we enjoy with the leading mills of Italy for sourcing.
Feet…
All our feet are solid hardwood and are hand stained to one of the carefully selected finishes to complement the chosen fabrics.
Furniture Care…
We go to great lengths to research all the materials we use to ensure they are fit for use, and to use appropriate British Standard tests where appropriate.
Your furniture will enjoy a long life but needs to be cared for. To assist in this area Tamarisk provide:
- Care instructions with every sofa
- Fabric characteristic sheets to help potential customers understand how to select the best fabric for their use.
